Whoopie Pies

Whoopie Pies *****
Bake at 425 for 7-8 minutes
Makes 2 dozen cookies

Cream
• 1 cup sugar
• 6 tablespoons shortening
• ½ cup cocoa

Add
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 egg

Sift and Add
• 2 cups flour
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 ¼ teaspoon baking soda

Add
• ½ cup sour milk
• ½ cup hot water

Drop by teaspoon on greased pan.
